"Quarantine sounds unreasonable, father."
"No, when it comes to the Kukamia, we must handle regardless of the consequences. We must stop the spread as good as we can."

Akira intervened and wanted to know what the Kukamia are.
Then Blaidd explained it to him: "The Kukamia were a humanoid lizard or reptile-like species. They were conquerors and scientists, they always tried to adapt themselves to the respective planet. Whenever they found new DNA, that was compatible with their DNA, they created a new Kukamia race. When we met them, we couldn't stop them. Somewhere on the planet they had huge nests. Without the destruction of the nests, thousands of these monsters came to us. We had no chance until the supreme Council tested a weapon, it's only task was to destroy all organic life ..."

Blaidd hesitated: "But it destroyed Adora."
"Adora?" asked Akira.
"Adora was our home planet, it broke up into thousands of pieces," said Kayla.
"We have been trying to contact the other Lupains for two years, unfortunately without success. Maybe they found a new planet."
"And this thing, this parasite which was in Anonaran, can't be tracked?" Asked Akira.
"Actually, yes, we could smell these parasites, just like we can smell diseases. But this parasite seems to be a new genetic variant."

"That means every Lupain must remain on the ship as long until we have found all parasites?" Asked Akira.
"Yes, we must prevent these monsters to spread further. Otherwise, not only this ship, but the entire world is at risk."
"I am only interested in the Lupains, I don't care if all humans die," said Kayla.
"Be quiet!" Shouted Blaidd.

Blaidds communicator rang again.
"They seem to have one."
"What does he mean?" Asked Akira.

Blaidd ran directly off, Akira and Kayla followed him.
"What's going on Kayla?"
"I don't know, simply follow my father!"

Shortly before a door they stopped.
'I know this smell, that must be Ari', he thought.
Before the hospital room a tied Lupain laid on the floor, he was wearing white and sterile clothing.

"Why does he lay there on the ground?" Asked Kayla.
"We think he is infected and wanted to kill Ari, he gave him incorrect dosages for days to slowly kill him."
"Does he belong to Anonarans people?"
"No, unfortunately not. We really have to assume that every Lupain could be infected."
"How do you know that with the dosage?" Asked Akira.

"A Lupain which works here has noticed it, this scum on the ground gave this Lupain there for several weeks an excessive dose. Apparently the plan didn't work out, he didn't die from an overdose. He wanted to finish him off with a lethal dose," said a large black and white Lupain.
He had different eye colors, the left eye was blue, the right red.
He had two scars on the face, these went down from the left eye to the cheek. It looked as if an animal had inflicted these injuries.
His Unform seemed to stand above a soldier, it was a green-orange armor.
On the left shoulder a tally could be seen under a large skull.

'How many more Lupains to speak the human language?' Thought Akira.
"You may wonder why I understand you? Well, I shall argue that one needs to know his enemy. So I've taught myself this simple language. You have to be this Akira?" Asked the white black Lupain.
"Yes I am."
"I heard you speak only the human language, suits me. You can call me Joe. Let's say it is an abbreviation for a complicated Lupain name" he said, handing Akira hand.
"You know what I have done?"
"Until you are convicted it does not matter."

"Thank you, Joe. May I ask what the lines on your shoulder mean?"
"For killed Kukamia. You should go to the room now. As far as I've noticed, the Lupain is awake and he demands you."
"He demands me?" Asked Akira.
"Yes, now go to him," Joe said.

Akira hesitated, then walked slowly toward a white door. With each step, his heart beat louder.
'Now I will finally talk to Ari. He can finally tell me who I am.'
As Akira stood outside the door it opened automatically and he saw Ari.
Ari was still in his bed, when Akira approached him, he began to smile.
He spoke to Akira in the Lupain language.

"I don't understand, please use the human language," Akira said.
"Sit down and let me have a look," said Ari.
Akira took a chair and placed it beside the bed.
After Akira sat down Ari jumped forward and hugged him.

"They said you were dead. I never believed that, I never gave up hope and now you are standing in front of me," Ari said, bursting into tears.
"Yes, uh thank you."
"What did the humans do to you? This scar on your face?"
"Scar? Oh, a Lupain has caused it, his name is Alpha M018."
"Alpha M018? Does he have a real name?" Asked Ari.
"Those were our names, but I heard that some called him Sev."
"Is he from this terrible bunker?" Aris face changed, then he started screaming in the Lupain language, he started to punch around him in panic.

Kayla and Joe ran into the room.
"What has he? What happened?" Asked Akira.
"He's having a seizure, any panic attack, something I've never seen," Joe said.
"What does he cry all the time?"
"He screams Kukamia" Kayla said.
"You'd better leace Akira, I let the doctors see him," said Joe.

After Akira had completely confused left the room, Blaidd came to meet him.
While he moved Akira out of the way, doctors ran past them.
For a brief moment Akira could see into the room.
He saw how Joe and Kayla kept hold of  Ari so he could not hurt himself.

"What's happening Blaidd?" Asked Akira.
"Your friend is very sick, something terrible might have happened to him."
"What do you think?"
"According to his medical records he has severe nightmares, hallucinations and is suicidal endangered. He must have seen something very bad. If Anonaran or the Kukamia want him dead, he must have seen something important."
"Shane and I have freed him from the military base, there are a hundred others."
"Akira, I believe you. But without evidence, I can't start a military operation against the humans. We have negotiated a peace treaty, a military attack could lead to war."
"You know my position, you know what I told you. Ari won't be the only one."
"We need more evidence, perhaps we can remove one of these parasites and bring it to talk", Blaidd said.
"Maybe Ari does not only knot that I am innocent. He cried all the time Kukamia."
"Kukamia he cried? Why would he do that? He could not know of the parasite, except if ..."

"Except what?"
"That the Kukamia are also in the military base."

"Until we haven't investigated every Lupain the quarantine applies. Your friends are certainly on this ship."
"Father, the Council wants to talk to you."
"What exactly is it about?"
"They didn't tell me."
"You wait here," ordered Blaidd.

Blaidd walked slowly toward Joe and whispered something to him, then both disappeared.
"What did he say to Joe?" Asked Akira.
"No idea, but it seems to be important."

They both sat down on a bench in front of the room and waited.
Kayla behaved strangely, he looked around constantly, he also held his left hand.
Akira noticed how Kayla's hand trembled.

'Is something is? Should I talk to him on?', Wondered Akira.
Kayla abruptly stood up and looked at Akira, he lowered his ears and held his hand tighter.
"I see how you stare at me, it is the alcohol. If I don't drink, my hands start to tremble. Now stop to look at me constantly! Do you believe I wouldn't notice it?"
"I'm sorry, I just noticed it. Wouldn't it be better to stop drinking alcohol?"
"Shut up, you sound like my father. I won't take orders from someone like you," cried Kayla.
"Chill out!" Shouted Akira back.

Kayla sat back and turned away.
After some time Blaidd and Joe came back accompanied by the supreme council, this was accompanied by five heavily armed Lupains.

"Akira, we have good and bad news for you," said Joe.
"Yes I'm listening."
"The good news is, you're going to start with me and twenty Lupains an attack on the military base. The bad, you will not actively participate in the fight," said Joe.
"Why did you decide to attack, and why shouldn't I participate in the fight?"

"We have found the USB flash drive from which you have spoken and we looked at the message of Dr. Witta. We must assume there is a Kukamia population on earth, it seems to be breed in this military base," said Blaidd.
"You have to come with me, you're the only one who knows the military base.
We need to get every detail about it in experience, before we can attack."
"Why can't I take part in the combat?"
"I must be able to trust the Lupains. They must work together in a team to eliminate the Kukamia and all their supporters. I my give you the hand in this, but I can't trust you. "The operation starts in four hours, go get some rest. You have to be fit one hundred percent. I'll see you in Hangar 4. Be on time," Joe said.
"You heard it Akira, you can rest in my quarters," Blaidd said.
"What about you?" Asked Akira.

"I'll take care of the parasite. I'll talk to some doctors how we can track these things the best way."
"And how to remove them, father" added Kayla.
"First we have to take all those affected prisoners. How do we separate the parasites from the host, will be clarified later. We have to stop the spread first."
"Okay, understood. I have to do something urgent," Kayla said with a nervous voice.
